About the Surgical Immersions Urology Workshop in Barcelona

The Surgical Immersions Workshop is a course in renal uro-oncology organized by Fundacio Puigvert with the cooperation of Grena Ltd., which is held a few times a year in Barcelona, Spain.
This two-days-long course allows the participants to learn about technical details of the operations that follow on the second day of the course. The participants are directly involved in four surgeries performed by urologists of the Oncologic Urology Unit. Each workshop has a very limited number of participants, which allows to create the best learning enviroment.
The Team teaching the participants is made of experiences uro-oncology surgeons: Dr. Humberto Villavicencio (Director of the Urology Department), Dr. Joan Palou (Head of the Oncologic Urology Unit), Dr. Alberto Breda (Head of the Renal Transplant Surgical Team).
